Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus is setting ambitious targets for himself and West Ham United ahead of the upcoming 2024/25 season.
The 23-year-old impressed in his debut season with the Hammers, scoring 14 goals and providing 6 assists in all competitions across 46 appearances. Mohammed Kudus joined West Ham from Dutch giants Ajax in the summer of 2023 and quickly established himself as a key player.
While West Ham finished ninth last season with 52 points, Kudus believes they can achieve more. “Personally, I want to do better than I did last season with numbers and performances, but most importantly help the team get back into Europe and challenge for the top six,” he declared. “That’s what my personal goal is around, helping the team.”
Kudus’ performances earned him recognition as the club’s second-best player behind Jarrod Bowen, who racked up a remarkable 30-goal contribution.
The Hammers will enter the new season under the leadership of new manager Julen Lopetegui, who replaced David Moyes at end of last season. Their Premier League journey begins on August 17 with a clash against Aston Villa. However, before the competitive season kicks off, they will face Dag & Red in a pre-season friendly on July 20th as they ramp up preparations for the upcoming challenges.
With a new manager at the helm and a determined Kudus in their ranks, West Ham fans are hopeful their team can deliver on Kudus’ ambitious goals for the 2024/25 season.
