Nigeria vs Egypt:AFCON 2022 Match preview

Liverpool star man Mohamed Salah side Egypt battle the super Eagles of  Nigeria in a heavyweight Group D affair on Tuesday afternoon.

Egypt faces a difficult start in their journey to reclaim the title they won three times in a row between 2006-10, with three-time winners Nigeria no doubt also confident of making a deep run in the competition after a semi-final tilt three years ago.

Nigeria vs Egypt is scheduled for a 4 pm GMT kick-off on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at the Stade Omnisport de Garoua in Garoua, northern Cameroon.

The Super Eagles going to battle with the Egyptians with the absence of  Dennis, Osimhen, and Ighalo as the Perspective clubs prevented the super eagles, prolific players, to join Nigeria as they battle glory in 2020 Afcon in Cameroon.

The Egyptians are also going to battle with the super Eagles with their left-back Mohamed Hamdi who has been ruled out of AFCON with a knee injury and Ibrahim Adel and goalkeeper Mohamed Abo-Gabal are among those to have tested positive for Covid-19.

Both sides have met 18 times in which the super Eagles of Nigeria have won 8 of them and Egypt 5 while 5 too ended in a draw.
