Ghana Premier league giant Kumasi Asante Kotoko has extended its contract with headline sponsors MTN and oil marketing company GOIL according to Nana Gyambibi Coker who serves as the club’s General Manager.
”We have been able to renew both contracts. Currently MTN will be paying Kotoko from January to March in fulfilling their promise,” Coker said.
MTN’s sponsorship agreement with Kotoko dates back to January 2011 when a deal was signed for an annual amount of GH¢1,050,000.
The news comes as a relief for the club especially in these hard times when teams are sinking financially due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
