UFC president Dana White has confirmed that Conor McGregor will make his return to the sport in a bout against Dustin Poirier in January.
The pair will meet in the octagon as part of UFC 257 on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi on January 23.
This fight will be the main event of January, with meetings between Max Holloywayand Calvin Kattar on January 16 and Leon Edwards and Khamzat Chimaevon January 20 coming beforehand.
Over the course of 2021, McGregor will be looking to gain enough headway in UFC to be able to compete for a world title.
The Notorious is also expected to participate in a boxing match against Manny Pacquiao in the near future.
