Following the devastating earthquake in Turkey, Christian Atsu was recovered from the rubble and is now alive, according to Hayatspor.
Following the earthquake, Christian Atsu and Taner Savut, the sporting director of Hayatspor, were both buried under debris; Atsu was later discovered alive, but Taner Savut has not yet been located.
“Christian Atsu was hurt and removed. Tandr Savut, our sports director, is regrettably still buried in the rubble. We are nearing the conclusion of the most hazardous hours,” said Mustafa Ozat, the club’s publicity officer.
Hatayspor defeated Kasmpaşa S.K. on Sunday thanks to a goal from Atsu in the 97th minute.
According to official figures, the incident has resulted in more than 2,300 fatalities and about 6,000 injuries.
