Kumasi Asante Kotoko legend Sarfo Gyamfi is optimistic of snatching victory over Hearts of Oak in the upcoming Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors will play host to the Phobians at the Baba Yara Stadium in matchday 13 of the domestic top-flight on December 14, 2024.The Ghana Premier League is currently on break due to the upcoming General Elections this weekend.
Sarfo Gyamfi was in attendance on Sunday when Kotoko inflicted a 2-0 win over Division One League club, Future Stars to advance in the FA Cup competition.
Speaking to Kessben FM, the former Kotoko defender affirmed the Porcupine Warriors will defeat Hearts of Oak to secure maximum points.
We’ve defeated Hearts of Oak in our last three meetings and nothing is going to change when we face them this time. We don’t care about their recent form. It’s a different ball game all together when we take on Hearts of Oak” he said.
“It’s a die and die affair. Even if we have to go into the sea and beat them, we will just do that. We are not afraid at all” he said.
Asante Kotoko are 7th on the Ghana Premier League standings with 18 points while Hearts of Oak sit 6th spot with 19 points.
