Ghanaian boxer Patrick Allotey who assaulted a helpless Asante Kotoko fan at the Accra Sports Stadium, has been granted a bail to the tune of GH ¢ 100,000 by the court on Monday 10th February 2020.
The boxer who came into the news for assaulting a Kotoko fan during Accra Hearts of Oak’s 1-2 defeat to Kumasi Asante Kotoko, pleaded not guilty during his hearing at the court today.
In his lawyer’s defense, he said “My client was charged for causing harm that was different that’s why we pleaded not guilty to that charge.”
The lawyer also said they were expecting a different charge but not the recent one they pleaded not guilty to.
The boxer was granted bail on 3 sureties to which they should be public servants and deposit his traveling passport at the court registry.
Patrick Allotey has already been suspended for 6 months by the Ghana Boxing Association for his unethical act.
