Ex-Black stars captain Asamoah Gyan has urged the Black stars of Ghana to give their all to qualify from the group stages of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
According to the former Udinese and Sunderland forward, it’s not bad to revenge Uruguay after that painful elimination at the quarter finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, but the main focus should be on qualifying from the group stages of the mundial.
“Most important thing is to qualify from (World Cup) group stage and go further. When we think about revenge (v Uruguay), it’s good. It boosts your morale but it’s a different generation”, he told Metro TV.
The Black stars of Ghana are drawn against Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay in group H of the 22nd FIFA World Cup that has been slated for November 21-December 18 this year.
