Former Black Stars midfielder Laryea Kingston has had his say on the ongoing social media comparison as to a better midfielder is between Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey and Michael Essien.
The former Hearts Of Oak player admitted Partey is a fine talent and in good for currently at club level, but Essien is a different beast and is, therefore, way ahead of Partey.
“They [Partey and Essien] all have their strengths and weaknesses but I will say I was privileged to play alongside Michael Essien. We all know the work he did at Chelsea. Partey has done well and is still doing well but Essien was something else,” Laryea told Joy Sports.
The 39-year old played with Michael Essien at the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations when Ghana came 3rd.
