Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak are reportedly on the look out for a new head coach to replace Aboubakar Ouattara, according to Kumasi-based Kessben TV.
The Ivorian coach tenure appears to be nearing its end following a dismal start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
The Phobians suffered a shock defeat at home to debutants Basake Holy Stars in their first game, and their struggles continued with a 2-0 loss to Heart of Lions in their second fixture.
These results have led to widespread criticism, with some suggesting that the club may be relegation-bound.
The team’s struggles are reminiscent of last season’s dramatic finish, where they narrowly avoided relegation with a 3-2 comeback victory against Bechem United at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on the final day.
Under Ouattara’s management, Hearts of Oak have recorded nine losses, seven wins, and three draws. It remains uncertain whether Ouattara will be at the helm for their upcoming fixture against Bechem United on Sunday.
