Ashanti Gold goalkeeper Robert Dabuo has revealed in his carrier as a player, the coach who made things difficult for him was former Ashanti Gold coach Kjetil Zachariassen.
The 2009 under 20 world cup winner revealed in an interview on Sekunde Sports with Solomon Amankwa on Sekondi/Takoradi based radio station Kyzz FM that coach Kjetil Zachariassen really hated him because he didn’t accept a deal the former Ashanti Gold and Kotoko coach offered him during his time as a coach of the club.
“I was really cool with coach Kjetil Zachariassen when he was the coach of the Ashanti Gold reserve side until he became the coach of the whole team and made me an offer I refused. That was when his attitude towards me changed.”
The former under 17 national team player also added the coach wanted to become his agent and make a deal with him in terms of selling him to get his percentage but he also refused that one too which caused him his time in the goalpost.
“Coach Kjetil Zachariassen wanted to make a deal with me but I refused. He wanted to sell me to a different club and I told him I still have a contract with Ashanti Gold so he should wait till my contract runs out but he didn’t agree with me. That’s when his hatred for me grew stronger.”
Richard Dabuo who is now the second choice goalkeeper for Ashanti Gold said he will make a lot of revelations after his career as a footballer.
