Sammy Kuffour Explains Why He Does Not Regret 2006 World Cup Blunder

Ex-Black Stars defender Samuel Kuffour has revealed there has not been any regret after his famous 2006 FIFA World Cup back pass blunder against eventual winners Italy.

According to the Bayern Munich legend, blunders are part of the game and had made worst mistakes before Ghana’s first game at the world cup stage.

“I don’t regret my mistake. As a footballer why would you regret one bad game,” Kuffour stated on Joy FM.

“I was a professional so I wasn’t bothered because I had done so many mistakes in the past. Why should I still be thinking about it.”

“How many players scored an own goal at the World Cup, six, and one of them went on to win the World Cup. I remember Messi missed a penalty against Chelsea at a crucial stage in the Champions League, did Barca fans kill him?

The highly-rated defender then made an  appearance for the Black Stars in Germany due to the blunder though he was recognized as key member of the set up.
