Samuel Eto’o elected as Cameroon FA president

CAF summoned Eto'o for a hearing at its headquarters in Egypt on Tuesday to address accusations of corruption and match manipulation.

Former Barcelona and Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o has been elected as the President of the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot) on Saturday.

The 40-year-old defeated incumbent Seidou Mbombo Njoya in the FECAFOOT presidential elections which took place at the Monte Febe Hotel in Yaounde.

The FCBarcelona and Inter legendary striker polled 43 votes as against his main rival Saidou Mbombo Njoya who polled 31 votes to be elected.

Samuel Eto’o Fils will lead the Cameroon Football governing body for the next four years.
