Ghanaian teenager Samuel Kuffour Jr., the son of Ghana and Bayern Munchen Samuel Osei Kuffour has signed for Israeli top-flight side Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
GHANAsoccernet.com understands that Kuffour Jr. will join the club’s youth team to continue his development.
The 18-year-old who is a midfielder and can also play as centre-back just as his father is moving to Israel from the Brentford Academy in England.
Kuffour Jr. was with the West Ham United Academy before moving to Brentford Academy.
The youngster holds Ghana and German citizenship and will have the chance of representing either Ghana or Germany when he comes of age.
Kuffour Jr. has previously revealed to his father the willingness to wear the Ghana shirt in future.
“I posted my picture of 20 years ago on my status. He said ‘daddy I have seen that picture’. It was Ghana against Cameroon in 2000. He told me ‘I would love to be in this jersey one day’. I told him that God willing, he will be there but he has to put an effort.” Osei Kuffour to Joy FM in an interview two years ago.
