Division one side Sekondi Hasaacas has debunked the rumor of parting ways with Coach Benjamin Hayford.
Ben Hayford in a recent interview had disclosed that he is no longer under contract with the club following the cancellation of the 2019/20 football season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“I was contracted to coach the team till the end of the 2019/20 Ghana Division One Football League season so once the league has been canceled due to COVID 19, my contract has elapsed, he told Kingdom FM
“My doors are now opened to any football club who will come with a good offer.
However, Chief Executive Officer of Sekondi Hasaacas, Paa Kwesi Arbouh has stated that the two parties are binned with a contract as far as the club is concerned.
“Officially, there is not a statement from the club to indicate that we have parted ways. He spent just a month on his contract before the league was canceled.” He told Takoradi based Spice 91.9 FM.
“The coach is even yet to officially inform us of leaving his post. If the season is truncated, we jaw jaw, but you don’t go around telling people that you don’t have a contract with us. Base on what we signed, he is still our coach and his mandate is to qualify the team to Premier.” He added.
Hartford joined Sekondi Hasaacas halfway through the first round of the Division One league from Sekondi Eleven Wise.
