Kumasi Asante Kotoko Kum Apem Supporters Group have angrily decends heavily on the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ghana Football Association and the Government of Ghana for denying the club the privilege to play it’s home games at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
A leading member of the group called Kingsley in an exclusive Interview with Nhyira Fm Sports said
“They are not fair with us because it’s good to innovate the stadium but comparing Accra sports Stadium innovation time and other stadia to Baba Yara sports Stadium they are not treating the team fairly”.
“It’s almost 6-8 months from February , there is a standstill in the work for the past 5months” They told Nhyira Fm power Sports.
“Our headache and grievances is that Asante Kotoko is playing both the Ghana Premier League and Africa Champions League Campaign as well but they are cheating Asante Kotoko flatanity and making the team incure alot of cost”
He said “Looking at the leaders leading all the various positions like Youth and sports, Government and NSA, all are from the AShanti Region but they are not fair with Asante Kotoko.They should do the field (pitch) for the team to play our football games but not we the fans coming to the stadium. If you are able to use 3-4 months to innovate Accra sports Stadium why the delay of Baba Yara Sports Stadium for almost 10 months”
