Ghana Football Association member made a statement in an interview which suggests that some of the players of the Ghana Senior National team have not been able to cash their cheques which was issued to them after winning against South Africa and Sao Tome in the AFCON 2021 qualifiers November last year.
Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association Nana Oduro Sarfo stated in an interview that some of the players have failed to cash their cheques due to some challenges he cannot disclose.
Nana Oduro claims that the failure to cash out the cheques is as a result of a problem being faced with the Sports Ministry.
“The winning bonuses for the South Africa and Sao Tome bonus have been paid but there is a problem”, he revealed to Accra based radio station Asempa FM.
The Chief Executive Officer of Berekum Chelsea could not pinpoint the nature of the problem but he confirmed that indeed there is a problem with the Cheques that was issued out to some of the players.
“The Sports Ministry has a challenge. Cheques have been issued but there is challenge.
“I don’t have the capacity to come and tell the public these challenges. The players have confirmed receiving these cheques but there is a challenge. Some of the players have been able to cash the money and others to haven’t”.
