Technical handlers should be allowed to make a decision on Mohammed Salisu – Augustine Arhinful

Former Ghana international Augustine Arhinful says the next Black Stars coach should be allowed to make a decision on Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu

Mohammed Salisu’s decision not to play for Ghana has become one of the most topical issues since the Black Stars qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup slated for Qatar

The former Real Valladolid center back has reported received several invitations by the Ghana Football Association and former coaches to play for the Black Stars but has reportedly refused to honor those invitations

According to Augustine Arhinful nobody will argue with the coach if he invites Salisu for the World Cup

“Let’s allow the coach to make a decisions on Mohammed Salisu Otto Addo spoke to him recently and he said he has good reasons for not playing for the black stars. If the coach speaks to him and he said he is ready to play, he should be allowed to play because we are looking for the best. I don’t think anybody will argue with the coach if he invites him for the World Cup so we should allow the coach to do his job.” He said.

Ghana has been placed in group H for the 2022 FIFA world Cup alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea after beating their west African rivals Nigeria in the playoffs.
