The Black Stars to face USA in high profile friendly in October

The Black Stars will square off against  the senior national team of the United States of America in an international friendly.

The United States’ have announced that its male national team will engage in friendlies against four-time FIFA World Cup champions Germany and Ghana in October.

 
Ghana are billed to play the Americans on October 17, 2023 in an international friendly at the Geodis Park in Nashville. USA in a statement said the games are preparatory fixtures for their quarterfinal matches in the Concacaf Nations League slated for November.
 
The last time the West African nation played against USA was in an international in 2017 where the Black Stars lost 2-1 at the Pratt & Whitney Stadium.
 
Chris Hughton is currently building the senior national team of Ghana for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Ivory Coast next year.
 
The friendly game against USA will also serve as a preparatory game for Ghana for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers which starts in November 2023.
