Skyy FC’s quest to qualify into the Ghana Premier League is on course as they were able to climb back to winning ways having gone down by a goal to win 2-1 over Cape Coast Venamous Vipers on Saturday in the zone 2 of the ongoing Division one league.
The Eagles left no stone unturned during the break and their management took opportunity to build up the mental fortitude of their players since they believe the second round matches would be based on the mentality of players than physical strength.
Coach Abdul Malik in an interview with Evans Gyamfi stressed that, after evaluating the first round they realized the second half of the season is going to be very very tight since some clubs would be battling for qualification and others struggling to escape relegation hence in the second round no match can be taken as a forgone conclusion.
The tactician believes their preparation into the second round is even higher than that of the previous.
” Because preparation is not all about physical work and the stage that we have gotten to the mind have to work more than the physical because in some games if you lose concentration for just a second or two it would turn into a problem for you and I believe this is the issue that affected us in the first round”
“So we were able to work on the boys mentally this time around and we are hoping that all that we have done can be shown very very well in games”
