Think Before You Talk – RTU Management Fire Kofi Manu

Alhaji Habib Abdul Rahman, a management member for Real Tamale United (RTU) was taken aback by claims that the Football Association President Kurt Okraku wants to help them qualify into the premier league at all cost.

This claim was altered by football administrator Kofi Manu popularly known in the football fraternity as “Blue Boy” in an interview aired on Asempa Fm’s sports night program hosted by Professor E.K Wallace.

Kofi Manu Blue Boy made this statement after the FA president during his tour to the north promised to give supporters one thousand Ghana cedis monthly for how they have conducted themselves during match days in the division one league.

Responding to this claim, Alhaji Habib Abdul Rahman said he was too embarrassed and sad for Ghana football as he kept asking himself questions about Kofi Manu’s link to sports because an elderly person who have been in the system this long can make unfounded statement without evidence then it is a total embarrassment to his age.

Alhaji Habib Abdul Rahman said,

“When it happened it was too embarrassing and I was very sad for Ghana football and then I kept asking myself what is his link to sports, whether he is a journalist,an administrator or otherwise”

“Whatever he does, I think he is an embrasssment because someone older as him and had followed the game this long to make such allegations without evidence is too much an embrasssment”

“Because an elder needs to think before you talk not talk before you think because if the FA president meet clubs and he is impressed with how they have conducted themselves and he is going to give them money thus it mean he is doing it to help RTU, I don’t get it”

He later questioned if RTU will be playing only against Nkoranza Warriors in the remaining matches in the division one league.

Alhaji Habib Abdul Rahman emphasized that RTU had prepared very well and our praying to qualify into the premier league. They lies second on the table behind Steadfast FC.
