Thomas Tuchel Full Press Conference Ahead Of Juventus Clash

Tuchel says he is not sure if Lukaku will play for #CFC against Juventus. Has been training ok, will decide later but says best hope is getting some minutes off the bench. Havertz is a doubt with a hamstring injury picked up at Leicester.
Thomas Tuchel:

“We will try everything to win the game, to win the group. For this, we have to win the game.”
Thomas Tuchel:

“We always have options. It’s on the players when needed, and to show the potential. They need to be ready, that’s life at #Chelsea. When Timo and Romelu are not available, we try to find solutions. We trust everybody.”
Thomas Tuchel on OGS sacking:

“Not too much. We have an away game on Saturday, home Tuesday. We don’t think about Man United today or tomorrow. I will not comment on this, and other clubs’ coaching decisions. It’s not my job.”
Thomas Tuchel on changing coach mid-season:

“I cannot say easy. That will devalue our effort. I’m in the best place possible, so I’m a happy coach and person. It’s perfect.”
According to Tuchel, Lukaku has a slim chance of being in the squad against Juventus.

I think he’s not needed in this game even if he’s fit.
Thomas Tuchel on Reece James:

“Right now he plays as a wing-back & he does this on a very high level. I see no reason to get carried away about ‘best in the world, league or Europe’. I’m happy when he tries to be the best in training. He’s improving, he takes responsibility…”
Thomas Tuchel on Reece James:

“He’s far from finished. He’s super young. He has the potential to be a big player for #Chelsea.”
Thomas Tuchel on Roman Abramovich:

“To put on a show for him? No, it’s not important. The basics are our show. We give our best if he is here, or not here. We put on a show on a daily basis, hard work, to make him happy and to entertain him and supporters.”
Thomas Tuchel on Roman Abramovich:

“It’s a big, tough game. We need everyone in the stadium full on, and us on full level. If he’s there, we are super happy but we won’t change our approach.”
Thomas Tuchel on Roman Abramovich:

“We keep him informed because he has such a genuine interest. This makes it special. He wants to be competitive, the right attitude and this is what he created, amazing. We are blessed to enjoy our time here, to keep on progressing.”
