The Super Eagles exuded their win in the ongoing African cup of Nation in Cameroon to two after beating Sudan 3:1 the Roumde Adjia Stadium in Group D.
Super Eagles boss Augustine Eguavoen has stated his delight with the Super Eagles performance in their 3-1 victory over the Falcons of Sudan.
Nigeria advanced to the knockout stages of the Africa Cup of Nations for the fifteenth time in history after beating 1970 Champions Sudan.
Eguavoen stated that he is amused with the outcome of the game, as he decided to switch to a more conservative play after the third goal.
“We are taking it a game at a time,” Eguavoen said after the game
“We tried to be conservative in our play. It could have been 6-0, it could have been 4-0, it could have been 4-1. Be that as it may, we are happy with all three points.”
The Super Eagles will secure top spot in the group if they beat Guinea-Bissau in their final group game on Wednesday.
