Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa has opened up on the rivalry between Ghana and Nigeria ahead of the crucial game between the two nations.
Musa said the match goes beyond football which is why his side must show that they are the ‘kings’ as far as the bragging right is concerned.
”As you can see, it’s about the politics, it’s about the Jollof that you mentioned, it’s about music, acting, fashion, everything.
“And thank God football has brought us together to show again who is the king. As the record shows.
‘I’m not going to say anything about the past. They have good records better than Nigeria but this is a new generation of the Super Eagles.”
Ghana have faced Nigeria 49 times and have won 21 times whilst the Super Eagles have won 10 times and 18 have ended in draw.
Meanwhile, both sides have been preparing for the game. The super eagles are yet to come to Ghana but have been training in their country.
Ghana will host Nigeria in the first leg of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers game on Friday, March 25, and the second leg in Abuja on March 29.
