West Ham United is interested in signing former Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante from Al Ittihad. Initial assessments suggest the deal could cost around £20 million, with the club deliberating on whether to make a formal bid.
However, Kante’s wages might pose a challenge for the Hammers, considering the 33-year-old moved to Saudi Arabia in 2023 after a successful seven-year stint at Chelsea.

The Hammers are keen to bolster their midfield, particularly after Kalvin Phillips did not meet expectations during his loan spell from Manchester City last season.
With new manager Julen Lopetegui at the helm, West Ham sees Kante as a valuable addition. Lopetegui, a long-time admirer of Kante, had previously attempted to sign him during his tenure at Real Madrid.
Kante’s extensive international experience, including 61 caps for France and a 2018 World Cup victory, is seen as crucial for West Ham’s ambitions in this new era under Lopetegui’s leadership.
