West Ham United is set to secure the signing of Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville for approximately £25 million.
According to reports, Summerville’s medical examination is scheduled for today, with all formalities in place. The Dutch forward is expected to ink a five-year deal at the London Stadium.
The 22-year-old star was highly sought after following a sensational 2023/24 season, where he was named Championship Player of the Year, recording 21 goals and ten assists in 49 appearances. Despite Leeds United’s failure to secure promotion to the Premier League, Summerville’s standout performances attracted interest from top clubs, including Chelsea, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, he has chosen to join West Ham, adding to their attacking lineup that features Mohammed Kudus, Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen, Luis Guilherme, and Michail Antonio. Summerville marks West Ham’s fourth summer signing, following the acquisitions of Max Kilman, Wes Foderingham, and Guilherme.
