Wilfred Kwaku Osei Palmer’s team have officially confirmed that they yet to receive verdict from CAS on their much anticipated case with the Ghana Football Association.
Verdict of the case which has generated lots of interest in the local media was due to be made official on August 4.
Media reports revealed that both parties ( Ghana Football Association and Wilfred Kwaku Osei Palmer) had received the verdict from CAS.
In quick response, the Tema Youth Football club President and his team have issued official statement, denying receipt of any ruling from CAS. In the statement, Team Palmer hinted on worry over the delay of the ruling, but remains hopeful that the ruling will be released “in due course”.
“Contrary to reports suggesting our lawyers have received the much anticipated ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS). We wish to establish the fact that our lawyers are yet to receive the ruling from CAS”, the statement stated.
The statement went on to stress, that the sports court has not given any reasons for the delay of the ruling, but Team Palmer remains hopeful of its eventual arrival.
“CAS has not given any reason for the delay, but we are hopeful that in due course the ruling will be sent to all parties concerned”, they hoped.
