You guys wanted to sack me – CK Akonnor jabs GFA

Former black stars coach CK Akonnor has thrown shot on the Ghana football association following his dismissal for newly appointed manager milovan Rajevac.

Less than a week as the new black stars manager, coach Milovan saw the senior national team beat Warriors of Zimbabwe by 3-1 at the Cape Coast sports stadium on the 9th of october 2021 as the countries third group game of the ongoing fifa Qatar 2022 world cup qualifiers.

As a matter of fact, having England base Jojo Wallocot to have kept post in the absence of regular number one goalkeeper Richard Ofori of Orlando Pirates, made his debut game pending his maiden call up to the side and with Kudus Mohammed who although a regular player, made a return to the team after missing black stars second group game with south africa back at the FNB stadium through to injury when then former coach CK Akonnor led charge.

Akonnor, reacting to the country’s emphatic win over Zimbabwe, took to his social media to express his dissatisfaction given the football association gave Milo a new goalkeeper as well as Mohammed Kudus that he thinks culminated to the victory.

“As Milo come, you have given him Kudus and a new keeper, you guys just wanted to sack me”. Akonnor heard crying bitterly.

The ex black stars player, during his time as the head coach, managed a 1-0 victory over Ethiopia for the nation’s first group game at the Cape Coast sports stadium and with a 1-0 defeat to south africa leading the team to a second spot on the log with three points before experiencing his dismal once the GFA felt his performance was underwhelmed.

Black stars, will play quest to the warriors of Zimbabwe for the fourth group game coming tuesday the 12th of october 2021 as they look forward to leapfrog group leaders south africa who leads on the summit with 7points after three round of matches.

The match is scheduled to kickstart at exactly 1:00 pm Ghana time.
