Yussif Basigi leaves Hasaacas Ladies after a remarkable 21-year tenure to take on a new challenge with Tanzania’s Simba Queens.
Basigi, who was instrumental in the formation of Hasaacas Ladies in 2003, rose through the ranks of the technical team to become head coach, where he guided the team to unprecedented success.
His tenure also saw the team secure the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU Zone B Qualifiers in 2021 and reach the final of the African Women’s Champions League on their debut—a significant milestone for Ghanaian women’s football.
Basigi’s departure marks the end of a highly successful era for Hasaacas Ladies, during which he has been instrumental in shaping the team into a formidable force in African women’s football.
His next challenge will be with Simba Queens, where he is expected to bring his wealth of experience and success to Tanzanian football.
